Since 2014, I have been instrumental in architecting the Business Analytics specialization at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. This work involved a strategic transition of the MBA curriculum from fragmented courses in business statistics and spreadsheet modeling to a comprehensive, full-stream specialization. My approach centered on a three-tiered pedagogical framework designed to ensure 360-degree technical and domain proficiency for students entering the analytical corporate landscape.
The first tier focuses on foundational excellence, where I integrated statistical learning with R, Python, SQL, and database management to establish technical fluency from the start of the program. This is followed by domain-specific analytics, featuring modules I designed to facilitate data-driven decision-making across marketing, finance, human resources, and supply chain management. The third tier comprises advanced analytical suites, including high-level courses I developed in machine learning, natural language processing, time series forecasting, and big data analytics.
Starting in 2021, I led the second-order curriculum expansion at the Coimbatore campus, advancing the curriculum into the frontier of artificial intelligence. This included introducing cutting-edge courses in deep learning, generative AI business applications, and agentic AI. My commitment to methodological leadership also extends to the doctoral level, where I developed and delivered specialized coursework in structural equation modeling. To bridge the gap between technical analysis and corporate storytelling, I launched a well-received course on data visualization and communication, emphasizing the layered grammar of graphics and standards for reproducible research.
I have dedicated my career to building self-sustaining ecosystems where academic rigor, experiential learning, and commercial innovation converge. My institutional work ranges from pioneering university labs to co-founding professional technology ventures.
The Amrita Analytics Lab Ecosystem
Amrita Analytics Lab (AALB), Bengaluru (Est. 2016): As my first major establishment, I founded AALB as a student-driven initiative under my direct mentorship. It was designed to move beyond the classroom, fostering a culture of collaborative research and peer-to-peer learning that remains a cornerstone of the Bengaluru campus.
